About us
Hello, I’m Khatia Basilashvili— the hands and heart behind Indigofera 🌿
From a small village in Georgia (the country), with the help of my parents, we grow our dye plants and use traditional natural dyeing methods to create unique scarves and garments. Every piece is made slowly and intentionally, using eco-friendly fabrics and botanical elements collected with care. I take time to choose only certified, sustainably produced fabrics that work beautifully with natural dyes. So when you wear Indigofera, you’re not only wrapped in something beautiful, you’re also supporting a kinder, slower way of making things.
This journey started with a love for nature and a curiosity for color, how roots, leaves, flowers, and even bark can become art. As a wildlife conservationist, I always had deep connection to nature. Today, Indigofera is home to Georgia’s first Indigo garden, and I’m proud to carry on the beautiful tradition of natural dyeing in a modern, mindful way.
Each piece I create is one-of-a-kind, connected to the land it comes from a little piece of Georgia, made to be worn and cherished.
Thank you for being here and supporting this small, sustainable studio. Your support helps keep these traditions alive and lets me keep doing what I love. 🌿
