Our Story

I’m Khatia Basilashvili, a wildlife researcher and natural dye enthusiast. I cultivate the first indigo garden in Georgia and am passionate about sustainable fashion, wildlife protection, and women’s empowerment. Through Indigofera, I combine nature, art, and ethical craftsmanship into every product.

Indigofera scarves and accessories are not just a product, but an idea about sustainable fashion, craftsmanship and harmonious coexistence with nature. We create items that are made from 100% natural materials and plant dyes grown by us. This means that each Indigofera product does not harm the environment, does not contain harmful chemicals and is safe for you. This is a product that has its own color, history and purpose. Due to the natural process, each piece is different, not repeated and has its own “character”. Every scarf is a symbol of slow fashion, ethical production, and a connection with nature and yourself.

How it is made:

Eco printing is a plant-based dyeing process, during which, with the help of tannins present in the plant, the image of a real leaf is imprinted on the fabric. Each piece is handmade, each item is unique and does not repeat. It is a one-of-a-kind item. Absolutely all fabrics are natural fabrics, because plants do not print on polyester and artificial fabrics cannot be dyed with natural dyes.

Features and care instructions:

100% natural silk, which is sustainably produced and certified by the global OEKO-TEX certificate. This means that the fabric is free from all chemical additives during the production process and does not pose a health risk.

Wash by hand at 30°C /86°F. Use a pH-neutral detergent or baby shampoo. Do not soak for a long time. Do not leave it under the sun for an extended time. Don't bleach. Iron with a medium temperature.
